A TOUGH END TO THE 2026 SEASON 🎣

We want to take a minute to say THANK YOU to every single one of our customers who fished with Wrek-N-Eyes this season. ❤️

Unfortunately, our 2026 season has been cut short in a way we never could have expected. We lost two motors just one week apart. As anyone who owns a boat knows, that’s something you simply can’t plan for, and it has put us in a position we never wanted to be in.

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this causes. We never expected to blow two engines within a week of each other, and we know many of you have been looking forward to your trips with us.

If you still have a trip scheduled with us, PLEASE DON’T WORRY. We will be reaching out to every single customer individually. We are going to do everything we can to get you on a boat and make your trip happen. If we cannot make it work this season, we will get you rescheduled for 2027.

The good news is that we are already looking forward to a BIG 2027 season! 🚤💪

We will be coming back with FOUR BRAND-NEW ENGINES in our boats and we are going to be ready to hit Lake Erie harder than ever!

To everyone who supported us, fished with us, referred friends and family, shared our posts, and came back year after year — THANK YOU. You are the reason we do what we do, and we truly appreciate every one of you.

We’re disappointed that 2026 ended this way, but we’re not going anywhere. We’ll be back in 2027, bigger, better, and ready to put some serious walleye in the boat! 🎣🔥

🔥 WE’RE WAY BEHIND ON OUR DAILY POSTS… BUT BOY, HAS THE FISHING BEEN GOOD! 🔥🎣

The last few days have been absolutely INSANE here at Wrek N Eyes! The fish made another move over the past 4 days or so, and we’ve been making the LONG RUN out to the 8–14 line to stay on top of them.

And let me tell you… THE RUN HAS BEEN WORTH IT! 💪🐟

Our boats barely had time to cool off this weekend! We put in a CRAZY 11 TRIPS IN JUST 3 DAYS, burning a whopping 605 GALLONS OF FUEL! 😳⛽️

But when the grade of fish looks like it does right now… WE’LL KEEP MAKING THE RUN! 🔥

🚨 NOW HIRING – FULL-TIME FIRST MATE 🚨

Wrek N Eyes Charters is looking to add a full-time First Mate for the remainder of the 2026 Lake Erie walleye season out of Ashtabula, Ohio.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who already has charter fishing experience and knows what it takes to keep customers happy while working hard from the time we leave the dock until the boat is cleaned and ready for the next trip.

Requirements:
🎣 Previous charter fishing experience is a must
🎣 Strong work ethic and dependable
🎣 Able to work long days in all weather conditions
🎣 Great attitude with customers and crew
🎣 Knowledge of trolling, rods, reels,

WOW! If you want to talk about fishing that’s on fire, Captain Dan and First Mate Steve have been absolutely lights out, and today was no different! 🔥🎣

You know the bite is unreal when you can leave the wire rods strapped to the roof and just run the Dipsy program all day. The fish were chewing from the minute we got set up, and the rods just kept firing.

When the fish are this cooperative, there’s no need to overcomplicate it—just keep resetting rods and putting more Lake Erie walleye in the box!

What another incredible weekend here at Wrek N Eyes! We ran 9 trips in just 3 days, and the fishing never let up. Saturday was so busy we even brought BTFF in to help us keep up with the demand!

The Lake Erie walleye are absolutely on fire, with 330 walleye hitting the deck this weekend!!🎣🎣🔥🔥

We switched our program up a little, moving over to big stick baits on the wire, while the Dipsy program has been lights out pulling little Kabooms. The fish have definitely let us know what they want, and they’re crushing it!

What an incredible weekend! 🎣🔥

We wrapped up an extremely busy weekend, running 9 trips in just 3 days, and all we can say is… the Lake Erie walleye bite is absolutely INSANE right now!

The action was so fast that we couldn’t even get our wire program in the water! The Dipsy program was all we needed, pulling a mixture of spoons and stick baits, and the fish just kept coming.

When the rods are firing nonstop, you know it’s going to be one of those days! Our crews had a blast, made great memories, and headed back to the dock with some beautiful Lake Erie walleyes.

The weather man got it wrong again! 🌊🎣

We left the dock at 8:30 this morning, and as soon as we cleared the mouth of the harbor, Mother Nature greeted us with 4-5 footers. It definitely wasn’t the forecast we were expecting, but our crew was ready to roll!

Believe it or not, it took longer to get to the fishing grounds than it did to catch our limit! Once we got set up, it was lights out.

* Wire divers pulling Bomber 24A’s
* Dipsy program absolutely on fire!

The fish didn’t seem to mind the rough water one bit, and neither did our customers once the rods started burying!

🎣 Lake Erie Walleye Report 🎣

Today we had our good friends Joe Batcho and his crew on board, and they were looking for a good old-fashioned walleye beatdown!

We knew we only had a small weather window before the wind showed up, so it was time to get after them early. As soon as we got the spread set… GAME ON! Within minutes, it was absolute chaos with all 12 rods firing! That’s the kind of start every crew dreams about.

The hot program today was:

🔥 Dipsy program absolutely smoking fish!

The rods stayed busy, the net never stopped moving, and the smiles said it all. There’s nothing better than watching good friends load the cooler before Mother Nature changes her mind.
