A last-minute sign-up. Two months of training. One incredible course.
ran the Aspen Valley Marathon on a whim—there to support a friend, not chase a BQ. But by mile 25, she looked at her watch and knew: she was about to run sub-3.
She crossed the line in 2:57, first woman, third overall, and officially Boston bound.
Because that’s the kind of course the Aspen Valley Marathon is: -Downhill & BQ-certified -Breathtakingly scenic -Built for breakthrough moments
Join us in Aspen next July. Big goals belong here.

From cow costumes to high-energy playlists, our volunteers bring the magic to the course. Here’s what AVM volunteer Tess Howland had to say about last year:
“Being around the halfway point was awesome. We dressed up as farm characters, played ‘I Like To Move It’ from Madagascar, and danced the whole time! We tried to bring the vibes at what seemed to be a tough part of the race. We’re stoked for next year—we had such a blast!”
Want to help bring the energy in 2025?
Volunteer signups open soon—stay tuned or reach out to [email protected] for more information.
