Our 3rd cruise on Carnival Dream out of New Orleans. This is a bigger and newer ship!!! Our ports were Cozumel, Mahogany Bay and Belize. LOVED all of these ports!!!! We stayed in the port area in Mahogany Bay Roatán. In Belize we went to a small island called Caye Caulker and fell in love with it!! In Cozumel we took a ferry to the mainland, boarded a bus and drove 3 hours to see Chichen Itza. It was a LONG drive and we didn’t get to spend much time at the ruins but it is definitely worth going ONE time to see it. I feel a lot more confident now and I know that cruising is now a part of my life.

2nd Cruise!! March 2016. Still very naive about cruising but loving it!! This was Carnival Fascination out of Jacksonville Florida. Same as our first cruise. Ports were Nassau and Freeport Bahamas. Looking back now (2025), we have come a LONG way!!! This ship has since been scrapped for metal. Having sailed on much bigger ships now, it is amazing how the cruise industry and their ships have grown!!

This was our first cruise and I was so naive!! I didn’t take many pictures. I found out that sea sickness is a beast! I’m a river rat and didn’t expect this to be a lot different. IT IS VERY DIFFERENT!! Thankfully a wonderful friend shared some Scopolamine Transdermal Patches with me before we left for our cruise and it saved our inaugural cruise vacation! I have learned so much since then. This was October 2015 on the Carnival Facination out of Jacksonville Florida.
