Experience the rich sounds and stories of Appalachia as the 2026 Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Concert Series continues with Michael Reno Harrell and Josh Goforth on Thursday, July 23 at Athens State University's McCandless Hall.

We love everything about this story from start to finish. ❤️🦆

A huge shoutout to Athens Fire & Rescue for jumping in without hesitation and helping protect the little ducklings in the middle of a busy highway. That’s the kind of quick action and care that makes this department such an incredible part of our community.

And of course, a big thank you to our very own Stephanie Reynolds for stepping in to help guide the rescue. It’s a perfect example of how Athens shows up for one another.

Just another reminder that in Athens-Limestone County, looking out for each other is what we do best.
