Join the Town of Athol Wednesday, September 16th at approximately 9:45 AM for the Official Mill Brook Crossing Ribbon Cutting!

And we have a little extra reason to celebrate: Mill Brook Crossing has been selected as a featured project in the ECAN & MVP Fall 2026 Field Trip Series, showcasing completed projects from across Massachusetts!

A whole lot of planning, partnerships, hard work and... a LOT of meetings went into transforming this space and bringing a little more nature and the Mill Brook back into downtown Athol.

Come celebrate everyone who helped make it happen and see the before & after for yourself!

Less asphalt. More green. Much better view!

Before you sign a lease, start renovations, order equipment, or spend a lot of money, do your homework first!

A space may look perfect, but one of the biggest things to remember: just because another business operated in that space doesn’t automatically mean your business can.

Ask questions early, find out what will be required and what it may cost, and get important information in writing.

The Perseid Meteor Shower peaks tomorrow night, with the possibility of 50–90 meteors an hour!
We have some great spots around here to get away from the lights and actually see the show.

You're Invited! Help Fill the Shelves at the Athol Area YMCA Food Pantry Open House!
The Athol Area YMCA is excited to welcome the community to the Open House for its newly expanded food pantry!
This new, more accessible space will help provide food assistance to families, youth, seniors, and individuals throughout the North Quabbin region.

If you're able, please consider bringing a donation of shelf-stable food items such as:
Cereal & oatmeal
Pasta & pasta sauce
Peanut butter & jelly
Canned soups, vegetables, fruit, tuna, or chicken
Rice, beans & boxed meals
Shelf-stable milk or juice boxes
This is a wonderful opportunity to tour the new pantry, learn more about the growing need in our community, and help stock the shelves for those who need it most.
