It's like every outfit deserves a vacation too! 😅
If you want to be more conscious of not overpacking, here are a few tips:
• Use the Rule of Three
Pack only three of essential clothing items (e.g., 3 shirts, 3 pants/shorts, 3 dresses) — be willing to wash and rotate if available.
• Plan Outfits, Not Items
Coordinate clothes around a color palette so you can mix and match. Aim for versatile layers that work across multiple outfits.
• Stick to a Packing List
Create a detailed list before you pack and stick to it. Avoid adding "just in case" items at the last minute.
• Use Packing Cubes or Compression Bags
These help organize and reduce the volume of your clothes, making it easier to fit everything neatly and track what you brought.
• Choose Multi-Purpose Items
Think convertible dresses, shorts or slacks that can be dressed up or down, and shoes that go from day to night.
• Wear Your Bulkiest Items
If weather premits, wear heavy shoes, jackets, or sweaters on the plane to free up luggage space.
• Limit Shoes to Two Pairs
One casual/walking pair and one for slightly dressier occasions is usually plenty.
• Go Mini with Toiletries
Use travel-sized containers and only pack what you’ll actually use. Consider solid versions of products like deodorant and soap.
• Roll, Don’t Fold
Rolling saves space and minimizes wrinkles, especially for soft clothing.
• Check the Weather and Itinerary
Tailor your packing to where you're going and what you're doing—don’t pack a swimsuit for a mountain hike or heels for a beach trip unless you're sure you'll need them.
