August is here and here are some Walt Disney World Happenings this month:  🎃Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party starts August 15th in the Magic Kingdom. Have you gotten tickets for one of the party nights? I have!  🎶Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival starts August 28th with special performances by some famous artists throughout the Fall. Interested in learning more about who’s playing? comment artists and I’ll send you the list!   🎥 Hollywood Studios will continue to host Disney After Hours events. These are separate ticket events for evenings with some speciality snacks included and guaranteed lower wait times and significantly better weather (aka: cooler temperatures). This is a 10/10 and I’d love to help you get there.   🏴‍☠️ Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will continue to host H2O Glow Nights on select nights. These separate ticket events also guarantee lower crowds, a lively atmosphere, and some included snacks as well! Interested attending? Let’s get see if one of the nights fits your travel plans!  🦁 At Animal Kingdom, August is the LAST month you’ll have to experience the Boneyard play area before it closes on September 1st for construction of the new land, Pueblo Espirito. Let’s get your kids there for one final time! This special event takes place from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am, but I *highly* recommend you take advantage of that 4:00 entry for more time in the parks! (Knock out some rides early so you can spend the rest of the evening enjoying the exclusive party offerings, parades, and shows)  Tickets are currently on sale for the following dates:
* November – 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 25, 26, 28 and 30
* December – 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19 and 21

Let’s talk Disney Springs table-service or “sit down” restaurants, and my favorite dessert stop (Spoiler: it’s NOT Gideon’s) .

There are SO many table-services to choose from, but here are the top 3 we find ourselves going back to even after trying others!

1) Summer House on the Lake: you HAVE to try the ahi tuna and watermelon tostadas or the salmon poke nachos. Also, my 2.5 yr old twins and newly 4 yr old loved the kid options.

2) Paddlefish: a fantastic date night option with 10/10 views. Daniel and I tried this on a whim back in April, and we loved it.

3) The Boathouse: I love their rolls, and you cannot go wrong with the lobster roll, oysters, or The Duck Duck Razz signature cocktail with a rubber ducky garnish 🐥

Also, my favorite dessert stop? The Ganachery. Their artisanal, house made s’more easily tops any Gideon’s cookie imo.

I mean, there’s obviously a tree involved. 🌳

I know so many unfortunately say Animal Kingdom is the park you can skip, but I promise you.. this is not a park to skip if you have the right expectations and tips. For example: Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned Fries? Top tier park snack in a kiosk often overlooked between Asia and Africa.

Ready to be outdoorsy too? 😉 let’s book a trip together and I’ll share all my Animal Kingdom favorites with you.

Happy Father’s Day to all the stroller-pushing, dole whip sharing, pool loving, train watching, Small World riding, hair tossing, resort trekking, carousel riding, monorail seeking, fry stealing, marshmallow toasting, castle show watching, and Mufasa-channeling Disney Dads (& those stepping into the father role).

We couldn’t do these trips without you. ✨
