We are so thrilled to debut the new Visitor Center & Museum sign! It looks beautiful. We would like to thank these local businesses who worked hard on the project:

- Sully's Wood Company, LLC for rebuilding the door header and cornices from the studs up, and ensuring the structure can safely hold the new sign.

- M.C.Welding for designing and fabricating the metal sign, and bringing our vision to life.

- Tucker Burton with Star Paint and Body for doing an amazing paint job that will last for many years to come.

And to all three for installing!

We look forward to adding the additional exterior sign lighting and seeing it all lit up for the first time soon!

We’re excited to share that the Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) Foundation has awarded a $5,000 grant to support the experiences and programming surrounding the Smithsonian’s Spark! Places of Innovation exhibition coming to Atlanta in 2027!

This funding will help us build on the Smithsonian exhibition with local exhibits, educational experiences, special events, and programming that highlight the people, stories, and ideas that have shaped our community and region.

Spark! is much more than a six-week exhibition. It’s an opportunity to bring our community together, share the stories that make our corner of Texas special, and welcome visitors from across Northeast Texas and the Four States region.

We are incredibly grateful to the SWEPCO Foundation for investing in this project and helping us create an even bigger experience around the Smithsonian’s time in Atlanta.

Spark! Places of Innovation will be on display January 9–February 21, 2027, at Atlanta Miller Grade School in Atlanta, TX.
