Curious if the Disney Dining Plan is worth it? What can you get for a day's "credits"? Here are a few of my favorite places and dishes to use those credits.
Breakfast Spots:
1. Gaston's Tavern makes delicious cinnamon rolls that are HUUUGE! You could easily split this snack credit item with someone else and save their snack credits for later.
2. Sleepy Hollow Refreshments offers two legendary waffles you must try: A) Mickey Waffle With Sweet-And-Spicy Maple Chicken (1 quick service credit). B) Mickey Waffle with Chocolate Hazelnut Spread, bananas, and fresh berries (1 snack credit)
Lunch Spots:
1. Columbia Harbor House offers our family favorite: Lobster rolls. They also have lots of seafood and chicken offerings like "fish & chips". (1 quick service credit)
2. Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café has lots of delicious burgers but the Triple B Burger is our favorite. It comes with Bacon, Cheddar Spread, Crispy Onions, and Coca-Cola Cherry-Barbecue Sauce on a Brioche Bun served with French Fries. (1 quick service credit)
3. Pinocchio's Village Haus will meet your pizza, chicken, salad, and flatbread needs. Who doesn't want to eat overlooking "Small World"? (1 quick service credit)
**you can order an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage that is included with your meal if you are over 21. Those under 21 have non-alcoholic beverages included with their meals***
Dinner Spots:
1. Cinderella's Royal Table is where foodies can really take a table service credits for a ride. It does use 2 table service credits per person, but in our opinion, its worth it! For those 2 credits, you get a choice of an appetizer, entrée, dessert, and a drink. We had gorgeous braised beef and jumbo shrimp appetizers; filet mignon, grilled chicken and fish for entrées, and gorgeous, beautifully presented desserts along with wonderful wines and cocktails. If you're looking for an upscale dining experience inside the parks, this is a great one! I didn't even mention the princesses meetings, photo ops and the gorgeous venue. More on that another day. You'll definitely feel like royalty here. (2 table service credits)
2. Crystal Palace offers a massive buffet that appeals to the whole family. bonus: Meet Pooh & friends here! (1 table service credits)
3. Be Our Guest: This is another fine dining venue that allows you to dine in Beast's ballroom or the "West Wing" with upscale offerings. (2 table service credits)
Snack Credits:
1. Hands down, your day at the Magic Kingdom isn't complete until you've had a Dole Whip at Aloha Isle. The original is pineapple soft serve, but it now comes in lots of flavors, which change seasonally. Personal favorite: Dole Whip Float with pineapple juice.
2. Snack Carts: Mickey Bars and Ice cream sandwiches can be found here. Bellissima! That chocolate just hits different here.
3. The Confectionary on Main Street will draw you in with its amazing scents all day long. Find tons of seasonal cupcakes, candies, and snacks here!
We barely scratched the surface, but these are my favorites. There are infinite ways to use those credits. What catches your eye? If you're a seasoned Mouseketeer, what's your strategy?
