By me being in the travel industry for over 25 years, I've heard it so many times...
"I want to travel... I just don't have anyone to go with."
My answer is always the same:
Don't let waiting on someone else keep you from living the life you deserve.
Last week I curated a vacation for one of my clients and dear friends who celebrated her 50th birthday with a solo getaway to beautiful Aruba. What an incredible way to honor a milestone! 💛 This was her 1st Solo Vacation and she wound up Loving it! She had an Amazing Time!!!!! She's ready for another one ☺️😉♥️!!!
What could have been another year of saying, "Maybe next time," became a week of beautiful sunsets, peaceful moments, new experiences, and memories she'll carry forever.
That reminded me of something we all need to hear...
Sometimes the greatest relationship you'll ever build is the one you have with yourself.
Solo travel isn't about being alone. It's about discovering your own strength. It's learning to trust yourself, finding peace in your own company, freedom and realizing that joy doesn't have to wait for someone else to join you.
Some people travel to celebrate. Some travel to heal. Some travel after loss. Some travel to rediscover who they are.
No matter the reason, every journey has the power to change us.
As a travel advisor, I don't just book vacations. I get to witness people say "yes" to themselves, sometimes for the very first time. And that's a gift I'll never take for granted.
If you've been putting off that dream trip because you're waiting for the "right person" to come along... maybe the right person has been you all along.
The world is far too beautiful to spend your life waiting for permission to see it.
So celebrate the birthday. Take the dream trip. Watch the sunset. Order dessert. Make the memories.
Because life isn't promised... but today is. I Absolutely encourage Solo Travel 💙✈️!!!!!
