A Tropical Breeze - Cape San Blas

What a wonderful few days we had at a Tropical Breeze! We were sad that we didn’t get a rental but decided to go down to do some maintenance.
We normally stick to the spring and fall weeks and I thought it would be hot and buggy. I was so wrong! We had a beautiful breeze, no bugs and enjoyed long days on the beach and stayed out until at least 9:30 each night.
We saw a turtle release, played pickleball, enjoyed the full moon and beautiful sunsets Rob went snapper fishing on Family Tradition Charter Boat- Apalachicola and caught the largest red snapper of the day.
We still have some dates open, if you’ve stayed inside because of the heat, grab some friends and go to the beach! Cape San Blas in the Panhandle is so beautiful!

Reopening Announcement: Cone Heads 8020 will Reopen this Thursday, May 22nd. We have some exciting changes too!

• Coffee Shop from 7:30 am-12:30 pm EDT: Quinn & Co. will now be serving their delicious coffee drinks from inside Cone Heads 8020. The coffee shop will be located on the first floor. Guests can now enjoy their beverages either inside or on the outside decks.

• Ice Cream Shop from 7:30 am-9:00 pm EDT: The ice cream shop has been moved downstairs. In addition to the ice cream, there will be a variety of desserts available as well.

• Dinner from 4:00 pm- 9:00 pm EDT: Dinner will be served upstairs inside the restaurant.

• Gift Shop: There is now a modest sized gift shop downstairs. Merchandise will be located in the gift shop.

• Third Deck: Cone Heads 8020 now has a third deck which allows guests to view stunning sunrises, the Gulf and gorgeous sunsets. 🌅 Cone Heads 8020 is a gulf view restaurant now. 🙌

• Lunch: Lunch will no longer be served.

• Days of Operation Remain The Same: Closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Both the ice cream shop and restaurant have been completely remodeled. We cannot wait for everyone to see the exciting changes. We hope to post a short video of the changes at some point tomorrow.

We are still in the process of remodeling but have made enough progress to reopen. 😁

A Tropical Breeze has one June and several July and August weeks still available. The house is in pristine condition and we have a large beach ready for your family’s summer beach vacation.

We’ve been blessed with so many wonderful guests this year so this our first visit since October. Even though the house looks perfect when you walk in and owning a beach is awesome, there are always projects that we see and tackle on each visit.

This week we replaced the refrigerator, a bedroom tv, all new pots and pans, all of the toilet seats and the outdoor shower faucet. We then organized the kitchen cabinets, repaired loose boards on the outdoor shower, touched up paint throughout the house, replaced the whirlpool bath tub stopper, trimmed all of the bushes that were hit hard by the low winter temperatures, weeded and replaced a couple of beach chairs and added some coffee cups.

Next on the list is repositioning the beach mat, pressure washing the exterior of the house and taking a nap!
