All good things must come to an end, and today we begin our journey home.

What an incredible adventure through Europe! From charming villages and historic castles to breathtaking scenery and unforgettable experiences, this trip has been filled with wonderful memories.

Today we escaped the city and took a wonderful day trip into the Dutch countryside!

Our first stop was a working dairy farm, where we learned all about how the cows are milked and got to see the calves up close. They were absolutely adorable!

Next, we visited the charming town of Alkmaar and its famous cheese market. The market takes place every Friday morning, and it was fascinating to watch the traditional cheese carriers transporting the wheels of cheese and the buyers and sellers negotiating prices. The best part was seeing them seal the deal by slapping hands until an agreement was reached!

After exploring Alkmaar, we enjoyed lunch at a local farm before making a quick stop to admire one of the iconic Dutch windmills.

It was the perfect day filled with beautiful scenery, local traditions, and a glimpse into everyday life in the Netherlands. If you're visiting Amsterdam, I highly recommend taking time to explore the countryside—it’s absolutely worth it!

Today we visited Utrecht, the fourth largest city in the Netherlands!

This charming city is full of culture, hidden gardens, and beautiful canals around every corner. One of the most unique things we saw was the massive three-level bike parking garage — proof that bicycles truly rule the city here!

One of the most unique experiences on our cruise with AmaWaterways was a candlelight tour of Lahneck Castle!

This beautiful castle is still privately owned and used as a vacation home by the family who owns it. What makes it even more fascinating is that it has no electricity or running water! Stepping inside truly felt like traveling back in time. The owners love spending time here and sharing its history and charm with visitors. Such a magical evening along the Rhine!

Yesterday was a dream! We visited two of my favorite cities in Germany — Heidelberg and Rüdesheim — and each one was absolutely charming in its own way. From the beautiful old architecture and history to the cozy streets and stunning views, these towns never disappoint.

To top it all off, we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon of scenic sailing along the river. The vineyards, castles, and breathtaking landscapes made for the perfect ending to an unforgettable day!

One of the highlights in Rüdesheim was getting to experience the famous Rüdesheimer coffee — such a fun and delicious tradition!

Today we visited the beautiful city of Strasbourg, France!
Did you know the name Strasbourg means “street city”? Such a charming destination filled with history, gorgeous architecture, and the most stunning cathedral. Every corner feels like a postcard!

Europe continues to amaze me with its beauty and culture!

Guess what?!?!

On Saturday I flew to Europe and spent four amazing nights in Switzerland before boarding a beautiful river cruise ship in Basel yesterday! I’ll share more about my time in Switzerland later, but the scenery has been absolutely unbelievable!

Today was our first cruise stop in Colmar, France — such a charming storybook town with colorful buildings, canals, and so much history.

Fun fact: Colmar is the hometown of Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, the sculptor behind the Statue of Liberty!

I am already falling in love with this journey and cannot wait to share more from this incredible adventure!

The life of a travel agent isn’t always glamorous. Yes, I get to travel and bring clients along to experience incredible places—but there are also moments that are stressful and challenging.

Last week in Rotterdam, one of my clients had a fall and suffered several injuries. Sadly, she and her roommate weren’t able to rejoin the cruise and had to fly home the next day. I spent time coordinating new flights, transfers, and making sure their luggage would make it back safely.

And here’s the reality—most of that was done while walking through Keukenhof, surrounded by beautiful tulips.

This is a big part of what I do. Not just planning amazing trips, but being there when things don’t go as planned. Supporting my clients every step of the way—no matter what happens.

That’s the side of travel most people don’t see.
