Two beautiful stops on our cruise! In Pinhão, we decided to skip the scheduled excursion and just wander around town — it was such a peaceful and relaxing day. Sometimes the best moments come from simply slowing down and soaking it all in.

Next up was Lamego, where we visited the stunning Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies. You can climb all 689 steps to the top... or you can let the bus do the hard work. We chose the scenic (and air-conditioned) route! 😄 What an absolutely beautiful place.

Afterward, we enjoyed a sparkling wine tasting — one of my favorites of the trip — and had a delicious lunch at Viscondes da Várzea. A perfect day from start to finish!

Another amazing stop on our cruise — Salamanca, Spain! 🇪🇸
It took a 2-hour bus ride each way to get there, but it was absolutely worth it. Salamanca is a stunning city, full of history and charm. The highlight? The breathtaking cathedral — truly gorgeous inside and out! ⛪✨

We also enjoyed a delicious paella lunch at a local hotel, included as part of our cruise experience. A perfect taste of Spain in a beautiful setting!

Yesterday, we visited the stunning Mateus Palace — a beautiful country home in the region of Trás-os-Montes, just outside the city of Vila Real. The architecture is absolutely breathtaking, and the gardens are just as beautiful. Every corner feels like stepping into a storybook. 🌿🏛️

Today we made the move from Lisbon to Porto for our cruise, and what an amazing journey it was! 🚗🇵🇹

Along the way, we stopped in the charming town of Óbidos — a beautiful walled city with narrow cobbled streets, a historic church, and some great little shops (yes, a few souvenirs may have been bought 😄).

Next up was Nazaré, a stunning coastal fishing town known for its massive waves (and today, for its fish drying on the beach 😅). The view was incredible — the smell, not so much! But definitely an experience we won’t forget.

Porto, here we come! 🚢✨

🇵🇹 Loving every moment of our new adventure in Portugal! The past 3 days have been a whirlwind of beauty, history, and charm as we explored Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, and several of the smaller, picturesque towns in between. There's something so special about wandering through these lesser-known spots and soaking up the local culture. 💛

Today, we’re switching gears and boarding the AmaSintra for a 7-night river cruise along the stunning Douro River. Can’t wait to see what the next week brings—stay tuned for more pics and stories! 🚢✨🍷
