The Danieli has welcomed guests since 1822, though its story began centuries earlier. Set across three palazzi on the Riva degli Schiavoni, its oldest building dates to the 1400s. Its guest list has included Lord Byron, Charles Dickens and Marcel Proust.

Now, the Danieli is beginning a new chapter with Four Seasons. Designer Pierre-Yves Rochon drew inspiration from Venice itself. Murano glass, Rubelli textiles, terrazzo floors and hand-painted gilding complement a palette of celadon green, terracotta, ochre, powder pink and soft blue, drawn from the city’s façades, water and interiors.

For now, Palazzo Dandolo and Palazzo Casa Nuova are open, with 120 rooms and suites overlooking the lagoon, canals and rooftops. Palazzo Danieli Excelsior is expected to return in 2027, and Danieli Spa is set to debut later in 2026.
