The striper and sea bass fishing improved drastically after Memorial Day Weekend! We are currently running sea bass trips in the mornings and striper trips in the afternoons. Some real nice weather recently and good fishing on all trips!

Had a bunch more hit or miss trips with a real lack of consistency. We catch fish on every trip but some trips are not what we should be seeing this time of year. Everyone is working very hard for the fish that we do land and despite some frustrating trips, we still have a blast! That being the case, we decided to change things up today and crushed the trophy bass up to 45 pounds! 7/7 in a few hours with the 2 biggest at 48”!

Some hit or miss fishing over the last week. The good trips are really good seeing fish of all sizes and usually easy limits. The bad ones are a slow pick with lots of missed bites and dropped fish. Still putting fish in the boat on every trip! We’ve been fishing live bait and light tackle every day.

Insane bite today on the live bunker! Loaded the well, went for a little ride, and flew through over 100 baits before the wind picked up. Headed home a little early with our boat limit and dozens of releases!

4/12 morning trip was more of a pick in the heavy boat traffic. Right when you think it was turning on, there’s be 50 boats trying to get in on the action. Still managed a limit of keepers and a bunch of overs released.
The afternoon started slow but once all the boats cleared it was non stop for hours on end! Anything you wanted to throw at them they were eating! Great way to end the day despite the cold wind.

Finally had our first 2 trips after a long winter. This morning was a struggle with the guys fishing hard to land a few fish, taking 2 home for dinner.
The afternoon was the complete opposite! Steady picked fish every drift with keepers and tons of overs released. It feels great to be back out!

We’re quickly approaching the spring striper run and the books are open and starting to fill up! Call or text Capt. Gabe at (732) 608-4077 to get your 2026 fishing trips on the schedule. We will still be running every day out of Atlantic Highlands, NJ and can accommodate up to 6 people for charter. We will run open boats on days where we are not chartered. Our spring and summer trip schedule below 👇

April- We’ll kick things off in early April running two 6-hour striper trips every day. (6am-noon and 1-7pm).

May- Those trips will continue through May and when sea bass season opens in the middle of the month, we will offer either sea bass or striped bass trips.

June- We will continue running sea bass trips into June while transitioning our spring striper trips into our summertime striper & fluke combo trips. Combo trips will run 6am-1pm. Thresher sharks typically come in mid month.

July- Combo trips continue and heat up for most of July. Thresher shark trips and ocean fluke trips are available all month as well.

August- This is a great month for fluke fishing, catch and release shark fishing, bonito/multi species trips, albies, triggerfish, and so many more!

Captain’s choice of target species for your trip will always be an option if you can’t decide!

Went out with a bang this year! We were booked pretty solid for the last few weeks so I’m sorry if I left you hanging. If you weren’t able to fish with us before the end of the season, remember to book early and often for 2026. I’d like to thank everyone who fished with us and supported the business this year. Despite what felt like months of horrible weather, 2025 was our best year yet and we can’t wait to see how 2026 unfolds. We couldn’t operate without all of you and without the incredible fishery we have in our backyard.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and hope to see everyone again next year!
