Committee took great care of us, and we greatly appreciate y’all.

We’ve thought about this for quite some time and have decided to move forward with a new policy.

I’ve spoken to several individuals within the past few months, yes some are live streamers about my idea, majority of them don’t see no problem with it.

From a business standpoint—as sound professionals for powwows—we will now be charging a fee for any webcasters who wish to plug into our sound system. Many times, individuals don’t ask for permission; they simply help themselves and connect to our equipment without approval. We wouldn’t come and help ourselves to your gear without asking—same principle applies.

We, the sound crew, work hard to ensure the best possible quality for the entire event. Meanwhile, livestream companies are becoming more common at powwows, and—technically speaking—they rely heavily on the sound we provide, often gaining 100% of the benefit, especially through social media content, while we do a large portion of the work.

No disrespect to anyone—this is simply business.

Moving forward, if you wish to connect to our system, a fee will be required.

If you choose not to pay the fee, that’s completely fine. You’re welcome to provide your own audio for your livestream through alternative methods.
