Spent the day at the new Universal Kids Resort in Frisco and let me tell you
📢 DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS!
And I'm not saying that because of my job.
If you know me, you know I am open and honest, and I will not sugar coat anything, esp when it comes to family and spending money, ha!
I'll admit I was skeptical because I was reading a lot of early reviews but after visiting myself I am very happy to say TAKE THE FAMILY AND GO!
But set your expectations, know that YES this is a small park built for KIDS! But more so it was built for FAMILIES to enjoy their day TOGETHER. I saw kids of all ages enjoying the rides, the play structures, the splash pads, the shows and the snacks.
Let me clear up some things-
For the people saying it was 'fair rides' obviously didn't ride the Cretaceous Coaster or the Bello Bay Cruise. Those were wild and a lot of fun.
There ARE in fact canopies, fans and misters in all the ques and spread around the park walk ways.
Yes it's TEXAS and we get HOT, but with proper preparation, it's totally manageable. One way is by taking full advantage of the splash pads that are EVERYWHERE for everyone to cool off. *Highly recommend you put the kiddos in bathing suits (with shorts for the girls as you have to have them to ride certain rides) or quick dry clothes and water shoes. They will get soaked but they will be COOL and HAPPY.
The park is in a circle and very easy to navigate.
Yes, the foliage is young and thin but it will grow but that didn't take away from the amazing themeing throughout the park.
Characters are everywhere and the cast members are very friendly and welcoming.
Food varies from area to area and there are plenty of kid and adult options to choose from.
The park is very sensory friendly, there are even low sensory gardens with shade and benches for a break if needed.
Bathrooms, lockers and Family Service areas are in each themed area throughout the park.
For those saying you can do the park in a few hours, REMEMBER they are seeing the park during a soft open/preview with a fraction of the people that it will hold once it fully opens next week. No line during the preview was more than a 10min wait- THAT WILL DEFINITELY CHANGE once at full capacity.
Strollers/wagons are welcome. There is parking along side each attraction for them.
You are allowed to bring in your own water bottles and there are bottle refill stations throughout. You can also get ice water at all of the food and snack vendors.
I have so much more but will break it up over a few posts. But I urge you TO GO and see it for yourself, it will surprise you!
