Looking for a classic foothills summer tradition? ☀️

On June 7, Meadow Vista’s 77th Annual Pioneer Day returns for a full day of community festivities, and it’s the kind of day that feels straight out of a summer memory with a small-town parade, fire trucks, local vendors, a kids zone, and so much more!

The fun begins with a parade along Placer Hills Road at 12pm, with the community festival taking place shortly after at 📍 Meadow Vista Park.

Sometimes the best summer adventures happen close to home (or feel like it) 💛

This is great news for camping enthusiasts. French Meadows is an amazing reservoir. So peaceful there.

PCWA, in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service-Tahoe National Forest, recently celebrated the completion of a major modernization project of the French Meadows Campground, just ahead of Memorial Day weekend.

The project included upgraded campsites and roads, ADA-accessible improvements, expanded parking, safety upgrades, and major enhancements to the campground’s water system to improve long-term reliability and efficiency.

The French Meadows Campground is the first in a series of planned recreation improvements across the French Meadows area over the next decade. Future projects include campground renovations, picnic area improvements, boat ramp extensions, expanded water supply infrastructure, and a future reservoir trail system.

Heading to Tahoe this Memorial Day Weekend? This may be one of the best ways to spend it! 🌲🍺 The Made in Tahoe Spring Festival is back at the Village at Palisades Tahoe on May 23rd & 24th, and it’s basically a giant celebration of all the people who make Tahoe feel like Tahoe!!

This is the kind of event where you can grab a drink from a local brewery like , wander through the Village and strike up conversations with local makers like , and then enjoy the live entertainment and connect with the community around you. It’s free to attend from 11am-5pm both days. PLUS, proceeds from the Made in Tahoe bars will benefit the , which makes supporting local feel even more sweeter 💛

You’d never expect that this restaurant at the Galleria has served celebrities, athletes, and locals alike! 👀

Owned by Chef Q, Q1227 blends elevated comfort food with a really welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel just as perfect for date night as it does for a spontaneous happy hour stop.

We stopped by for Q’s Happy Hour and tried:
✨ mini prime wellingtons
🔥 sticky wings
🍰 carrot cake
🍸 cocktails + mocktails

And honestly? The carrot cake alone might be enough to bring you back!! (and yes… your eyes don’t deceive you 👀 that really is Snoop Dogg on the celebrity wall)

Definitely add this one to the “send to your friends when someone asks where to eat in Roseville” list.
