We are committed to keeping our going !!
July is Black Family Month, and with it comes one of our most meaningful traditions: the family reunion. More than just matching T-shirts and cookouts, these gatherings are spaces where we honor our elders, pass down stories, and show younger generations what family truly means. Rooted in the aftermath of slavery, when newly freed people searched for lost relatives, reunions have always been about more than just coming together—they’re about healing and reclaiming legacy.
If your family has one planned, go. If not, maybe it’s time to start one. These moments aren’t just about remembering the past, they’re about building the future. ➡️ Here are a few families doing just that, and inspiring us along the way.
