Hitting the trail this weekend? In the freezing weather, please be sure to follow these winter hiking tips before setting out:

🌀 Be prepared! Bring layers of clothing, warm outer layers, sunscreen, and plenty of water and snacks. You'll also want to bring a traction device (like snowshoes or micro-spikes) when hiking on ice and snow

🌨️ Know where you're headed! Before setting out, research the trail map available online or at the kiosk in the parking lot

❄️ Tell a friend! Let someone know where you are going and when you plan to return

Come and experience “Berkshire Backyard,” where you will learn about the creatures that inhabit our area. Step back in time with “Mummy-Side Chats” and get to know our resident Mummy Pahat, or stop in for “Meet a Friend,” and interact with one of our reptilian creatures.

Sounds fun!

We are very excited for this special evening on Friday, December 20th. Michael is originally from the Town of Richmond Massachusetts but currently lives with his family in Nashville and is a musical artist. We have known the family for years and we are fortunate to have him home for the holidays. He performs for us and warms the room with his amazing voice. This will be a special evening and an incredible way to start the holiday season which will be a mere 5 days away.

We love the timing of this one. We hope you will come and enjoy the evening with us and feel the love of the holiday season.

This is a free event. We will be open 12 to 8 so it’s first come, first
seating. Tips for Michael are always appreciated.

Wow!

Radiant Nights at Hancock Shaker Village is a unique multisensory holiday experience where the Village will once again sparkle with more lights, farm animals, music, festive spirits, and holiday fun for the entire family. Artist Joe Wheaton illuminates the Village with stunning and unexpected video projections on several historic buildings, including the iconic Round Stone Barn. There are many other elements of “surprise” along the path as you stroll through the Village including warm adult and kids drinks and snacks in the Discovery Barn along with a fire pit in the center of Village, providing a moment to gather with friends and family to soak it all in. It’s a great way to see the holiday season, and Hancock Shaker Village, in a whole new light.

ADMISSION IS FREE FOR MEMBERS (and children under 12)!

5 – 8pm – Please arrive by 7:15pm to allow enough time for your visit.
