Kind of funny! I am happier when a trip is planned....maybe that's why I don't mind planning 6 months out!

Night before trip...logically I know I need sleep...but my brain keeps thinking - forget anythIng? Maybe I don't need 4 sweaters...

Sure my guys will be up till midnight! But can sleep in tomorrow...

Travel can get complicated but don't let any issues steal your joy!

Airline changes route without telling you? Pat yourself on back as your diligents, you noticed and fixed it!

An activities requires a Certification of Fitness and they tell you 24 hrs ahead of flight? No worries as you just do what it takes to fix it!

Weather reports says probably rain every day? Take an umbrella/rain jacket.

GO WITH THE FLOW is truly your mantra! Never doubt you can handle any hurdle that comes your way.

Pack a sense of humor and a few extra smiles!

* Delta requires you pay a fee for under 15 but won let 15 be the adult for 13...so you pay the fee..BUT they give you this fabulous picture with him!

Even if I have been there before though it happens seldom. My exceptions would be Scotland and Australia.

Australia is so big that even though I have been in various parts over 4 visits, still places to explore! In 1 week we go back with our 2 grandsons! Can't wait to introduce to my friends and show them Australia!

Only been to Scotland once and want to go back!

How about you? Like to revisit places try to go to where you have not been?

Ok Aussie folks any answers?!

This has bugged me for years.
Why do New Zealanders have Australian accents when it's a completely different country. Yet in England, people sound different every 45 minute drive.
Banana too small to show up on the atlas, probably would have sunk to the bottom of the ocean anyway.

My people kid me because I check travel plans often...especially week before I leave!

Since I made my home trip with Hawaiian Airlines and two months later they merged with Alaska airlines, my reservation has changed how they send me home 4 times! Not once did I get an email about change! Because I am checking at least once a week, I saw changes! My first direct flight home from HNL was eliminated with merger! Ugh as main reason I made it (+ very good deal on price). But hey, I know mergers are rocky. So now SFO...2.5 hr layover..ok.I'll live..what? You now want a 10hr layover? Oh no way! So got one to San Diego with 2.5 hr layover...felt like I dodged a bullet! Checking today changed return by 8 hrs which took out a planned activity plus SFO with 10 hr layover...

Poor guy in Fiji struggled with me. Complicated as JW on one reservation and myself and guys on another (another long story!). How about Seattle as less than hour layover! Well, no, as any delay out of Honolulu (been through that more than once!).

We settled to flying to Portland with 4.5 hr layover...figure if we got stuck there we could visit other grandparents! Guys flight home isn't till 7pm next day so we have some breathing room!

This is just to remind you to always keep an eye on flights as they can change! AND you don't always get an email! But I kept calm as poor guy in Fiji did nothing wrong! Turns out I was his first call that day!
