One day: 2 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT adventures! 🇩🇪

We split up to experience two very different sides of Germany!

🌲 Three of us headed to Triberg in the heart of the Black Forest, where we explored the charming town, hiked up to the Triberg Waterfalls, saw the famous cuckoo clocks, and tasted some amazing Black Forest cake. 🍰

🚗 One of us headed to Stuttgart for a very different kind of German experience — the Porsche Museum! 🏎️

I love that traveling together doesn’t always mean everyone has to do the exact same thing. We built an itinerary that let everyone enjoy what interested them most!

And at the end of the day…we came back together with plenty of stories to share. ❤️

🇩🇪🌲 Our Germany adventure continued as we took the train from Munich to the charming city of FREIBURG in the Black Forest!

Freiburg had a fun college-town vibe and was the perfect place to slow down for a few days. We spent our time hiking in the Black Forest, enjoying drinks at a Biergarten on the hill, touring the cathedral, doing a little shopping, and of course enjoying some delicious German and French-inspired food.

Freiburg is also a great home base for exploring nearby towns, which made it one of our favorite stops in Germany.

One of the best things about staying in MUNICH was that it made the perfect home base for incredible day trips.

One of our favorites was a full-day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Palace. 🏰✨

Did you know that Neuschwanstein Castle is the fairytale castle that inspired Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle? Perched high in the Bavarian Alps, it truly felt like stepping into a fairytale with breathtaking views in every direction. We also visited the elegant Linderhof Palace, the smallest of King Ludwig II's royal palaces, surrounded by beautiful gardens and fountains.

It was a full day of scenery, history, and beautiful architecture. If you're visiting Munich, I'd definitely recommend this day trip.

🇩🇪 We started our Germany adventure in the historic city of MUNICH, and it felt like stepping straight into a postcard!

Stunning architecture, giant pretzels, more bratwurst than we could count, traditional beer halls, a visit to the BMW Museum, and history around every corner—it was the perfect way to kick off our trip.

🇩🇪 Platzl Hotel: A perfect stay in the heart of Munich

This hotel was exactly what we were hoping for to begin our trip to Germany. It had all the Bavarian charm we wanted, combined with modern comforts.

The location was ideal for exploring Munich, just steps from Marienplatz and the iconic Hofbräuhaus. We were able to walk to so many of the city’s top attractions, restaurants, and shops.

After a long day of exploring, we loved relaxing at Josefa, the hotel’s beautiful front bar.

If you're planning a trip to Munich, the Platzl Hotel is definitely one I’d recommend!

✨ Take Me Back Tuesday ✨

In early January, we celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday at Universal Orlando Resort — and it was a trip we’ll never forget.

From the laughter, casting spells, and thrill rides to the Butterbeer breaks (yes… including those amazing Butterbeer crepes at Epic!), every moment was made even sweeter simply being together as a family. 🎢✨
