Paid Partnership | We just got back from three days at JW Marriott Hill Country and the kids are already asking when we can go back, so I think that says everything.

The River Bluff Waterpark was where we spent most of our time and for good reason. Our five and six year old were absolutely in their element and we genuinely could not pull them away. Between the lazy river, the slides, and the Sand Beach Pool, which is exactly what it sounds like, real sand meets a giant pool, they had more fun than they knew what to do with. That sand beach area in particular was where they planted themselves and stayed. No complaints from us.

We also did the longhorn scavenger hunt throughout the entire property and the kids took it so seriously. They found every single one hidden around the hotel and claimed their treat at the front desk like they had just conquered something major. It was such a fun way to explore the resort between pool sessions.

Rangers Kids Night Out was a full surprise for all of us. We dropped them off not knowing what to expect and they came back telling us it was the most fun they had ever had. They made caterpillars, played with kinetic sand, colored, watched movies, and had dinner all while my husband and I actually got to have a real sit down meal and walk the property together at night like two functioning adults. That alone was worth it.

And then there was Glow Golf. Yes it runs until 11:30PM which is way past our kids’ bedtime, but we made an exception and they were absolutely electric the entire time. Glow in the dark mini golf on the Canyons putting green under the night sky was just one of those moments where everyone was laughing and nobody wanted it to end.

Okay real talk — it’s summer, the kids are home, and somehow the laundry has multiplied by a thousand.

Between running a business and keeping up with everything else on my plate, folding clothes at 10pm was not the vibe anymore.

Paid Partnership | We just got back from the most perfect family trip and I am still thinking about it. No flight, no airport, just a 90 minute drive from Austin and we ended up at a nine-acre waterpark with a 1,100 foot lazy river, water slides, a kids pool, a sand beach pool and a private daybed overlooking all of it.

My kids did not want to leave, and I completely understood why because watching them have that kind of pure, unfiltered summer fun is exactly what this season is supposed to feel like. We spent most of our time at the River Bluff Water Experience and every single hour of it was worth it.
