When Austin summers get too hot, there’s a hip place in The Domain we love!

We have visited the Museum of Illusions a couple of times now and it is always a hit with the kids. They love the interactive exhibits and they love seeing the photos afterwards!

One of our favorite things about this museum is that it is completely go at your own pace. You can spend as little or as long as you want inside, which takes all the pressure off. We ended up staying about 45 minutes to an hour because a couple of the exhibits had the kids wanting to go back and do them again, and we were happy to let them!

It is centrally located right in the Domain, so there is so much around it to make a full day out of it for the family. Grab lunch, do some shopping, make a whole afternoon of it.

World Cup season is HERE and Austin is going ALL out

The ATX Fan Fest is coming to Domain NORTHSIDE this Saturday and it is completely FREE for the whole family. We are talking live DJ, a wild 3D art installation, interactive soccer activities, e-bike demos, and player meet-and-greets with Austin FC players like Dani Pereira and Owen Wolff.

This is exactly the kind of free, no-excuse outing I love rounding up for you guys. Pack up the kids, head to The Lawn, and soak up the World Cup energy right here in Austin.

Grab a bite at Loro or Jack & Ginger’s before or after and make a whole afternoon out of it.

Add this to your summer bucket list if you have young kids because this one is worth the drive.

5 rides, 9 themed play areas, a splash pad, live shows, and a diner. My kids are 5 and 6 and they did everything and still did not want to leave.

No height restrictions breaking hearts, no rides that are way too intense, no standing on the sidelines. It is genuinely built for this age and you can feel it.

And they are running Peppa’s Summer Celebration all the way through August 16 so there is still plenty of time to make it happen. Right now through July 2 you can catch Daddy Pig’s Magic Days, and you can meet Miss Rabbit now through August 16. Peppa’s Music and Arts Festival runs July 2 through July 23 and Peppa’s Story Book Celebration wraps up the summer July 24 through August 16. All of it is included with regular admission.

Tickets start at $26 and they have annual passes too. Pack a swimsuit and prepare for the “can we go back tomorrow” conversation on the drive home.
