Maybe Peru's famed llamas have a possible treatment for the coronavirus...check this out!

Scientists from the UK's Rosalind Franklin Institute have used Fifi's (a now famous llama) specially evolved antibodies to make an immune-boosting therapy.The resulting llama-based, Covid-specific "antibody cocktail" could enter clinical trials within months.

The development is published in Nature Structural and Molecular Biology.

Llamas' specially evolved small antibodies are the basis for a coronavirus treatment breakthrough.

Costa Rica has the lowest COVID-19 case fatality rate in the region, and the country currently has more recovered cases than active cases. There is no registered community transmission, and daily infections have fallen significantly (they have remained below 10 cases in recent weeks).
