Captain Experiences

Captain Experiences Captain Experiences makes booking outdoor sports trips quick and easy. Necessity is the mother of invention—and Captain was born out of need.

Focused first on fishing, our mission is to unlock the outdoors for everyone, and we do it through our no-hassle online booking experience and our Damn Good Guides in the field. At Captain, our mission is to unlock the outdoors for everyone, and to make it easy for anyone to plan their perfect adventure off the map. It’s the product of dozens of years spent in the great outdoors, and countless hou

rs spent trying to book a single fishing trip. It's tough out there when it comes to finding good guides. Search costs are high, it takes a long time to piece together trips, and the process is far from streamlined. Other platforms feel transactional, and completely unconnected to the culture they’re selling. People want to get out there and experience adventure. Without a trusted source with an earned reputation for reviewing, vetting, verifying and booking, would-be adventurers are forced to roll the dice on an expensive trip—or to throw in the towel altogether.

“Why hasn’t anyone solved this before? Damn, I’ve needed this for years.”

The idea is simple. An online platform making booking outdoor sports quick and easy. No phone tag, no outdated web pages, no hopes and prayers on whether a guide is a good fit. Our guides are Damn Good Guides, which means they’re licensed, insured and vetted— and we know them on a first-name basis. You can preview the specific details of a trip, from skill level, to bait and tackle. There’s even a 100% weather guarantee. We hand pick our Damn Good Guides, and our network spans all across the country and beyond. Booking with Captain is so quick and easy, you won’t even have time to think about us—until you want to book your next trip. We’re avid outdoorsmen, and we’re proud to help support and protect the lands we love. We don’t have customers, we have adventurers. And we’re not just selling fishing trips. We’re empowering people to connect with the outdoors and with each other. It’s about the laughs and lost fish, firing up the boat and leaving land behind. Minimizing screens and maximizing life. We’re a new twist on an age-old pastime, blending the excitement and nostalgia of time spent outdoors with cutting-edge tech to make booking a breeze. We’re passionate about the outdoors, and about empowering people to find the perfect-match guide for the trip of a lifetime, every time.

Local knowledge vs. Bass Forecast science 🎣

We teamed up with Bass Forecast for a little friendly competition on Lake Fork. Big bites, good laughs, and a hell of a day on the water.

Let’s run it back soon.

Been on a bit of a roll lately 🎣

Big Congrats to Captain George Hastick and his exceptional crew of clients for securing some hardware!

"Last Saturday won the Crew Tampa Bay fishing Tournament, and a few weeks ago won the Mother Teresa fishing tournament.
Both of these were 12-species point tournaments. The more species, the better your odds of winning. At the Crew Tampa Bay tournament, we lost two of the species, but we ended up with 8 out of the twelve for the win."

👊 Captain vs. BassForecast👊

Founders Jonathan (Captain) and Mike (BassForecast) took it outside for a little showdown on Lake Fork.

Jonathan teamed up with local guide Jay and picked off a handful of 2-3 pounders on a spinnerbait. Mike used the BassForecast app to hit secondary points and stuck a 6.5 lb largemouth on a Carolina rig.

When data meets instincts and local knowledge, good things happen on the water.

The FL panhandle's heating up and the bull sharks are clocking in.

Captain Tom has been on a roll—multiple bulls hitting the beach each trip, and they’re not small. Big runs, big smiles, and tired arms by the end of it.

Bull shark season is wide open down there!

– 247lb dinosaur on the first bite of the trip!

Bob Brenton came all the way from Michigan to chase alligator gar—and kicked off his 14-day trip with this absolute dinosaur. 247 lbs on Lake Sam Rayburn.

His 18th gar over 200. Not a typo, just pure madness! Big congrats to Bob and the crew—heck of a way to start a trip.

from Capt. Barney out of Corpus Christi:

Hooked into a black drum that looked like it could vote and pay taxes. Big, mean, and full of attitude—smashed a crab and bulldozed all the way to the boat.

Some Lake Fork Lightning!

Welcome to Lake Fork. Lake level is at full pool and surface temps are ranging from 60 degrees 66 where we been fishing. The bass are spawning and the bite has been pretty good. Throwing tx. rigged V&M Chop Sticks and flukes in very shallow water. Also short c-rigs with flukes. April should be a great month with Lake being full pool. We have had a few big ones out there lately. Book your trips now! - Captain Eddie Garrett
