Amtrak has officially rebranded one of its most popular California routes, unifying rail and thruway bus services under a single name: the Gold Runner. Formerly known as the San Joaquins line, the Gold Runner now offers travelers a seamless way to explore nearly the entire length of California with improved connectivity.

Semi-private jet carrier JSX is expanding its Southern California network, offering travelers more comfort, convenience, and nonstop options starting in 2026.

Beginning January 22, 2026, JSX will launch daily nonstop flights between Santa Monica Airport (SMO) and Scottsdale Airport (SCF), providing an easy, stress-free connection between California and Arizona. On the same date, JSX will also increase service between Santa Monica and Las Vegas (LAS) to two daily flights, with a third daily frequency added on February 5, 2026.

💺 All flights will operate on ATR 42-600 aircraft, reconfigured to seat just 30 passengers, offering generous legroom, a calm cabin experience, and semi-private convenience. Travelers can also enjoy complimentary snacks and cocktails, at least two checked bags, and access to private terminals—skipping crowded airport terminals.

💵 Tickets for the new and expanded routes are already on sale, with one-way fares starting at $215.

Emirates has announced flight delays, early departures, and cancellations on select services between Dubai and the United States due to a powerful winter storm impacting major US airports on December 27.
