We are now hiring qualified, outgoing and fun captains for the 2021 summer!

We’re looking for 2 or 3 captains carrying Near Coastal OUPV or greater credentials to host sailing tours off Catalina Island. The season will officially kick off in May, but there may be an opportunity to start sooner depending on the weather.

The boat will be moored on the island and available for you to stay on while you’re working. The workload will depend on how many people are in rotation and how much someone wants to work. Flexibility is key! You’ll be the sole operator of the vessel for no more than 6 passengers. The position will have a base salary, plus tips from your charters.

The vessel is a 40ft trimaran. She’s comfortable and easy to sail, and has a new Yanmar diesel engine should the winds be light. The bulk of tours will be daytime only, 2-3hr excursions, and up to 3 per day. There may be some half-day or all-day charters thrown in. Activities could include swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, sailing, whale watching, anchoring at the beach, sunsets or just motoring around the island.

Calling all experienced and fun USCG-certified captains!

We’re looking for 2-3 outgoing and friendly captains to join our team for the upcoming Summer-Fall season.

Key job details:
• Comfortable 40ft trimaran, moored at Descanso Bay (available to live aboard while on shift if non-local)
• You’ll be the sole operator of max. 6 passengers
• Up to 3 day time tours, incl. sunsets (all private for now)
• Some half- or full-day tours (all private for now)
• Base salary + tips + incentives
• Seasonal to start, possibility of continuing
• Flexible schedule.

You?
• Experienced certified captain (OUPV Near Coastal or higher) + current First Aid
• Flexible, reliable, fun & passionate about people having a safe & enjoyable time under your watch.
