Avon Fishing Pier NC to partially reopen October 1, here is the latest from their page:
September 30: Opening tomorrow morning at 7am! Hours for tomorrow will be 7am-7pm. Hours will be adjusted soon. Please be patient. Thanks everyone!

September 29: Keith and a Crew have been working hard today to make a temporary barrier so we are able to open part of the Pier. We will open up to the damaged part when NCDOT opens northbound AND southbound lane traffic. They are working hard so hopefully soon! We will begin repairs on the Pier as soon as we are able to do so! All good news!
