✈️ BOOKING YOURSELF VS. USING A PERSONAL TRAVEL ADVISOR
I get this question a lot…
“Why should I use a travel advisor when I can just book everything myself online?”
And honestly, you absolutely CAN book it yourself. There are plenty of websites that make it very easy.
But there is a HUGE difference between being able to book a trip and having someone who is actually there to help you plan the trip.
Here are a few things I think are worth considering:
• 🧳 I don’t charge my clients a planning fee. My goal is to make your travel easier without adding another expense to your vacation.
• 🔍 I do the research for you. Instead of spending hours comparing cruise ships, cabins, resorts, hotels, flights, excursions and all the little details, you can tell me what you’re looking for and I’ll help narrow down the choices. You decide what works for you and I take care of the details.
• 🛳️ I’ve personally taken more than 25+cruises. That gives me firsthand experience with things going right and more importantly, experience with things going wrong and how to get issues resolved and back on track.
• 🌎 I travel too. I’ve had the opportunity to travel extensively, especially throughout Europe and the Mediterranean. I think there is a lot of value in getting advice from someone who has actually been there rather than just reading a description online.
• 📞 I’m your person when something changes. Flights get cancelled. Cruise itineraries change. Hotels make mistakes. Things happen when you travel. Having someone who knows your trip and can help you work through a problem can be worth a lot.
• 💰 It’s not always about finding the cheapest price. I want to understand what kind of experience you’re looking for and help you find the best value for your money. When we get the right trip at the right price, it helps make for a much better vacation.
• 🤝 And I’m not doing this alone. I’m proud to be affiliated with one of the largest and most established host agencies in the travel industry, with more than 5,000 travel advisors and over $458 million in annual travel bookings.
That kind of buying power and industry presence gives me access to supplier relationships, special offers and discounts, ongoing training, technology and a large support network behind the scenes.
All of that helps me do a better job for my clients and gives me resources that I simply wouldn’t have working on my own.
But at the end of the day, you’re not booking with a big company. You’re booking with me.
I’m the person who gets to know you, helps you plan your trip and is here when you need me.
That’s probably the biggest difference.
When you book directly online, you’re usually getting a transaction.
When you book with me, you’re getting a person who gets to know you, knows your trip and is there to help before, during and after your vacation.
And that’s really why I became a travel advisor.
I love to travel. I love helping people travel. And after more than 25 cruises and a whole lot of travel over the years, I’ve learned that sometimes the value isn’t in finding a place to go…
It’s having someone you trust help you get there. ❤️🌎
