Well we couldn’t just leave him there.
Juvenile great black-back gull with fishing luer though its top beak and one foot in the waters of Gloucester Harbor. It looked at first like a young dumb bird not giving up on a too big fish…
On closer inspection we saw it needed help. Circling back around we gathered a big box, towel and boat hook to see if we could at least get it aboard. No easy task with a full complament of guests, or without for that matter.
Happy to say we got the job done.
It flue off after we unhooked it from this entrapment.
