We ordered the most incredible food for New Years Eve from Ohana Hospitality—it was amazing! Everyone was in love with Gretchen and Robby’s food! My sister in law from Korea was raving about the beet greens salad, my husband and his brothers carved the meat and ate half of it while carving because they “couldn’t help themselves”, and the tandoori chicken and sweet chili herb sauce was heavenly. Thank you Ohana Hospitality so much! You helped to make our NYE family party very special. Best meal we’ve ever had in Door County❤️

Explore nature AND contribute to scientific research?! Yes, that is citizen science!

Join community members from all throughout Door County for the annual Citizen Science Symposium happening next Saturday, October 26th starting at 9:00 am at The Ridges Sanctuary.

Hear from folks contributing to a wide variety of projects happening all throughout Door County related to gathering data for a greater understanding of the natural world around us.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for light morning refreshments and networking, followed by presentations from citizen scientists and researchers involved in year-round initiatives. All are welcome!

Just when you thought spooky season couldn't get any better, Fish Creek's Jack O'Lantern Days festival rolls in this Thursday, October 24! Bayside Tavern is getting the party on the right note with a pumpkin carving contest. Because what's Halloween without a little competitive gourd gouging? 😉

The fun continues with a Friday evening concert at the Old Town Hall by local favorites The Deep End, and then we go all out on Saturday. We're talking a costume contest and parade, trick-or-treating downtown, an open house with the Gibraltar Fire - Rescue Association Inc., a pumpkin hunt courtesy of Burnt Bluff Stone and Glass, Halloween Mini Golf at Evergreen Miniature Golf, the Haunted Trail at Fish Creek Park, and so much more.

This event brings together citizen scientists from The Ridges Sanctuary, Door County Land Trust, Climate Change Coalition, and Crossroads at Big Creek, along with the public, to celebrate impactful citizen science programs in Door County.
