Trip Part One: Geneva

What a beautiful city. Love anything that has water, sailboats and beautiful scenery! We spent the day touring around in the cutest little trolley. Didn't get time to shop much. Here EVERYTHING is closed on Sunday! Nice change of pace and good for my wallet😊

So cool to run into other Dragonboat participants from our own team and from around the world almost everywhere we went!

Ended with an Espresso Martini at a beautiful rooftop bar overlooking the lake then Fondue in a restaurant that was a jail in the 17th century!

⛰️⛰️How do you want to experience Machu Picchu?⛰️⛰️⛰️⛰️

I can't believe it's been a year since our trip.

We chose the route that really tested us. Four days hiking the Inca Trail with G Adventures and a small group of like minded travelers.

It was hard. At times it was terrifying. It pushed me farther than I thought I could go.

It was also one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Beautiful, humbling, spiritual, and something I'll never forget. I still keep in touch with several people from that trip, and we still cheer each other on from afar.

But here's the thing. That's not the only way to experience Machu Picchu.

Part of me wonders what I was thinking. There are amazing luxury hotels in Lima, Cusco, and right at the entrance to Machu Picchu. I could have taken things at a slower pace, slept in a comfortable bed every night, and still experienced one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

With discussions underway about limiting visitor numbers in the future to help protect the site, it's a destination that's worth seeing sooner rather than later.

Neither way is right or wrong. One is an adventure that will test you. The other is a journey that's all about soaking it all in.

So...which would you choose?

Yesterday, I had the privilege of being the Travel Advisor for the Barbados Tourism Board at Passport DC in Washington DC. What an amazing celebration of all this beautiful island has to offer!!! The music, dancing, food and RUM were incredible and made you feel like you were on the Island. All I can think about now is going to visit!

What a spectacular final day to our incredible journey! The Waldorf, Casa Chameleon, and final night at the W Costa Rica were truly the perfect conclusion. The stunning new Waldorf exceeded expectations with breathtaking views, exquisite pools, and a picturesque beach, making it ideal for families or a girls' getaway. Casa Chameleon, with its 31 exclusive adult-only bungalows offering almost 360 panoramic views, captured my heart with its serene beach vibe and luxurious boutique resort experience.
