​Effective Date: Applies to all NEW bookings made October 1, 2026, or later.

​Planning a family getaway or group cruise? Carnival has updated its guest age and chaperone requirements. Here is what you MUST know before booking your next trip:

​🔑 KEY POLICY CHANGES
​1. CABIN LOCATION REQUIREMENTS (Ages 15–20)
​Guests ages 15–20 must be booked within 3 staterooms of their responsible relative or guardian (who must be age 25+).
​⚠️ Note: This is a NEW restriction specifically affecting guests ages 18–20.
​2. GROUP CHAPERONE RATIO
​Group bookings now require 1 qualifying adult for every 5 minors.
​(Updated from the previous requirement of 1 adult per 8 minors).
​3. INDEPENDENT SAILING AGE
​Guests must generally be 21 or older to sail independently without an accompanying adult.
