Runway 33-15 Pavement Repairs
Temporary runway closure for essential maintenance

Bangor International Airport (BGR) will temporarily close its runway from 8 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026 through 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026 to complete essential pavement repairs.

During routine inspections, airport staff identified an area of the runway requiring permanent repairs related to Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR), a naturally occurring condition that can affect concrete pavement over time. Temporary repairs have been completed in accordance with recommendations from the airport’s engineering consultants to maintain safe operations.
