Grandfather's Shadow Vacation Rental Cabin Grandfather's Shadow is a small Vacation Rental Cabin located in between Banner Elk and Boone NC.

The cabin is available to rent for short stays of 2 nights up to weeks if desired.

To say the High country has suffered these last few weeks would be an understatement. But the resiliance of the communities of in the many mountain towns has been nothing short of amazing. People have come together to rescue, get power going, volunteer, and start the slow process of rebuilding.
To help the process of getting back to a semblance of normal the small businesses need help to survive. With that comes tourists. While there are many roads still not open, and many areas still do not have power there are areas that came through the storm relatively unscathed. (Blowing Rock, Jefferson and West Jefferson to name a few) If you are willing to come to the mountains those small businesses would welcome the your business.
