We were blessed to have no damage to our home in Valle Crucis! We are back open and welcoming guests! If you are looking for a place to stay for vacation, to volunteer, or simply to support our NC mountain communities, we welcome you to check out Riverplace. Fall dates available!

This family-friendly Banner Elk vacation home is located on the waterfront, 0.1 mi (0.1 km) from Watauga River, and within 6 mi (10 km) of Hound Ears Golf Club and Foggy Mountain Gem Mine. Appalachian State University and The Greater Foscoe Mining Co. are also within 6 mi (10 km).

We all have seen the devastation done to Western NC by Hurricane Helene. What you maybe haven't thought about is that many of these same families support themselves by working jobs in tourism. Waitresses, retail workers, housekeepers, etc.
Hurricane Helene did more than destroy homes and roads, it's going to destroy the economy of our beautiful mountain towns if we can't support them with our tourism! Below is a list of towns in Western N.C. that are able and asking for visitors! Let's show them our support!
