Summer is just about here, and Eagles Landing is ready for visitors! Book a mountain getaway vacation in Eagles Nest, just outside of Banner Elk, NC, nestled at almost 5000 feet in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
Activities—-some of the most beautiful hikes in the USA are along the Blue Ridge Parkway 20 minutes away. White water rafting, ziplining, mountain biking, swimming holes, horseback riding, river tubing, gem minings, Alpine coaster….there is no shortage of both family friendly and couples activies.
The area has a surprising amount of restaurants, ranging from family friendly lodges, fine dining, great pizza joints and great Asian and Mexican eateries. Also quite a few top notch breweries and wineries.
The community of Eagles Nest itself has to be seen to be believed. An amphitheater perched on a stunning mountain overlook, a BBQ pavilion, more hikes, soccer and athletic fields, kids playgrounds, one of the most challenging outdoor mini golf courses you can find, tennis, pickleball, UTV rentals, and now one of the best restaurants on the East Coast, Epic Chophouse (reservations required).
But the best part may be the home itself. A 4BR/4.5BA 3 level home that is so welcoming and cozy, you may not want to leave. Mountain views from the patio deck. Outdoor fire pit for s’mores, a 34 foot gas stone fireplace, separate log dining room, covered hot tub, and an epic downstairs game room and bunk room for the kids. Oh and for our canine loving travelers, we just added a super cool, fenced in doggie run on the side of the home!
There are still a few dates left in June, a few in July, and a few in August.
Rate ranges from $500-$675 a night. Three large master bedrooms with their own private bathroom, so the home can accommodate a few families to help spilt the cost.
