Central Florida weather can change FAST — especially during those summer Disney afternoons when sunshine turns into “everyone find cover” in about five minutes. 🌦️🏰

Disney and AccuWeather have officially launched a new weather experience designed specifically for Walt Disney World guests, and I can see this becoming such a helpful park day tool.

It’s built right into the existing AccuWeather app, so there’s no separate download needed. Once you’re within a Disney resort boundary with location access and notifications turned on, the app can switch into Disney Weather Check mode with more precise, location-aware updates.

It includes storm tracking, lightning alerts, heat index info, rain timing, and weather updates that could impact attractions, entertainment, and nighttime shows.

This could make it so much easier to decide when to park hop, duck into an indoor show, grab a meal, or make your move for fireworks before the rain rolls in.

One thing I will never regret is being able to scroll through my phone and literally watch my first baby grow up at Disney World. 🏰✨

I can look at pictures and instantly remember every trip by the year — just like I can with every school picture he’s ever brought home. The missing teeth years, the stroller years, the too-cool-for-characters phase, the years he suddenly looked taller standing in front of the castle than he did the trip before. The years he grew so much he unlocked a new attraction (and my mom seatbelt abilities😂)

And somehow, mixed in between all the rides and fireworks, are the memories of us simply being together. 🤍

As long as I’m able, I’ll continue making the time for these moments. Because long after the souvenirs are gone and the trends change, we’ll still have the memories, the pictures, and the feeling of being together in some of the happiest moments of our lives.

Less than 30 days until we’re back in our happy place — not for anything extravagant, but simply to celebrate the joy of being together. The laughs, the snacks, the late night fireworks, the silly moments, the hugs, and the memories that somehow become the ones we hold onto the longest. 🤍

No matter what life looks like lately, I’ll never regret saying yes to more time with my kids and more moments that make us feel alive again. Castle views and core memories, here we come. 🏰✨
