There are a ton of things in life that we feel shouldn’t have to be said… here’s one…

While there is not a RULE about swearing/ profanity/vulgar comments, etc at the beach. It seems as though it is just a common policy, while in a public place, surrounded by children and adults wanting to enjoy time together, that one could be respectful to others.
In moving forward, we ask our beach patrons to please adhere to this, please be respectful to ALL beach goers, we want everyone to enjoy their time at the beach and never to feel pushed out by other peoples language and actions!!

ANNOUNCEMENT: As part of the Harvey’s Lake Day on Saturday July 19th, Sue Persson along with lots of others will be putting on a free concert at the beach during the LHA ice cream social!

Just like the schools we open and close based on the weather. Some days play tricks on us and turn out to be lovely days after all! On days where rain or thunderstorms are predicted we will typically have our staff stay home. If you are wondering you can give a call to the beach house 633-4921. Thanks for your understanding!!

Hey community, we are in our final push to complete the building repairs from flooding. This week Friday and Saturday (27th and 28th), the bathrooms will be COMPLETELY closed for painting. The forecasted weather is rain so we are in hopes this will not interfere with a busy day. As always the porta potty will be available. We appreciate all the support and patience, We can’t wait for you to see the finished product!

As a volunteer committee, that oversees the operations at the beach, we are just not available to be there everyday. We feel that we are doing our community a favor by hiring local youth to handle the day to day stuff. Unfortunately the last few days our staff have been extremely disrespected! One was called a vulgar name because the bathrooms were closed. Another told a person several times they could not take their boat into the beach, and they were completely ignored and the person walked right past with their boat.

The beach rules are not there just because! IE: All boats that enter the lake, get washed at the “boat launch” so our lake can continue to avoid aquatic nuisances.

So, we are asking you, our community, if you see someone doing something, say something! If you see someone disrespecting our staff, say something, they are kids, for most of them this is their first job!
This is our community and our lake, let’s all work together to make it a great place!

Good evening! Due to some unforeseen things that arose the painting is not complete on the bathrooms. We will have them open, however “please excuse the mess”! With the warmer weather forecasted the painting should be complete Monday. Changing areas will not be available as we need to stay prepped for painting but the bathroom stalls will be available. Thanks for your understanding, we’ll get through all this together!!
