Important Update from Your Travel Agent ✈️

After careful consideration, I have decided that I will no longer be booking privately owned houses, cabins, or vacation rentals for clients.

While many hosts are wonderful, these properties often operate under individual owners rather than established hospitality brands. Unfortunately, when issues arise, travel advisors have very limited ability to advocate for clients or enforce policies.

Recently, I encountered a situation where a vacation rental host failed to honor their own published cancellation policy. I have documentation showing that the reservation was canceled on June 2, prior to the June 3 deadline that clearly stated a 100% refund was due. Despite providing emails, receipts, timestamps, and cancellation confirmations, the refund has still not been properly processed.

Experiences like this highlight the risks associated with privately owned rentals. Unlike hotels, resorts, and established vacation suppliers, there is often no dedicated management team, supplier support, or clear escalation process when a host chooses not to follow their stated policies.

Moving forward, clients are welcome to book vacation rentals directly through platforms such as Airbnb or VRBO if that is their preference, but I will be focusing my services on hotels, resorts, cruises, tours, and vetted travel suppliers where I can better protect and advocate for my clients.

My priority has always been providing reliable travel experiences and professional support before, during, and after your trip.
