As of late there's been some talk about the elephant population in Zimbabwe particularly the west part of the country. These photos are of a PAC bull that forced the issue by chasing local farmers while crop raiding. Notice he's lost almost half his trunk in a snare! The local Zim people are in a pitched battle with elephant that's non stop just trying to protect themselves and their livelihood. This is the second crop raider killed in this area in the last week, fortunately we had a client to take the first but the second is a complete loss aside from 5k pounds of meat to the farmers. This particular bull is actually a very sad loss, his genetics were well above average. This is the type bull we should be letting walk but he left us no choice.
