If you plan on coming, I suggest waiting a little longer for cooler weather, less crowds, and maybe even cheaper hotels and flights.

A few more bathroom tips for Europe…

Use the bathroom whenever you have access- in a museum, at a restaurant, and of course at your hotel before going out.

If you have a department store nearby, you can use their bathroom for free. They do tend to not be as nice as others.

Toilets are not always taken care of as well in some places. You might find missing seats (to make it easier for staff to clean) or a lack of paper and soap. It’s good to bring some tissue and hand sanitizer just in case.

P.S. This is the bathroom door at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale in Florence, Italy. It was one of the cleanest, best equipped bathrooms I have seen.
