Had guests in from San Francisco thinking “lake day”… and got a front-row seat to what Lake Superior actually does.

No wind. Glass water. Ice tucked into the sandstone like it never got the memo to melt.

Conditions were too perfect not to go—even this early.

Superior doesn’t follow the calendar… it makes its own rules.

Devils Island sea caves are still covered in ice! The weather conditions were just to good today so out to Devils island we went! It’s very rare to get out 20 miles this early in the season, and it did not disappoint! Escape Excursions is looking forward to its 9th season here Apostle Islands National Lakeshore let’s hope the weather warms up soon!
