It was an overnight sail from Houghton to Stockton Island when we were joined by this sleepy customer. They tucked into a few likely places (never into the cabin itself!) for a few hours as we journeyed along the lake. They may have gotten turned around on the big lake and trusted us to get them home - whether or not they came from Stockton Island is unknown - but at least there will be plenty to eat!

There's a lot of good things about fall sailing - warm day winds, cool lake nights. Leaves turning on trees and a sense of quiet to every island. But maybe one of the best things? You don't have to wait so long to get those beautiful sunsets.

A big milestone for us as we had our first-ever cat passenger! Miso joined us on a multi-day trip just a few weeks ago, braving so many new sights and smells. By all reports, she had a relaxed and cozy time, venturing out to explore the boat and spending much of her time napping away in the cabin.

Now we need someone to bring a lizard on board and we can start a menagerie!

The fall leaves will be popping sooner rather than later! Because of the drought conditions, we might not hold on to the green for as long as usual. In a week or two, the hills will be colored with all their majesty. Come up and enjoy it with us!
