Members of Beattyville Main Street and Beattyville Lee County Tourism gathered for a photo with Erik Hubbard, Director of Backroads of Appalachia, after last night’s rally car staging. The event brought hundreds of people to Town Square for a rally car exposé after the cars raced through White Ash Road.

Events can take weeks, sometimes months, of planning, along with countless behind-the-scenes meetings, messages and phone calls. We never take that hard work for granted! A huge thank-you to the folks in this photo — and the many others who help — for all they do to make downtown events a success, with the support of local city and county officials and our dedicated board members.

We can’t wait to see the Rally Race/Expose’ event photos from Just Jessica Photography and will share posts from the Lee County Tourism page soon!

🏁 Boone Forest Rally at Beattyville Town Square🏁

What an incredible day in Lee County! The Boone Forest Rally brought high-octane excitement to our winding backroads, followed by an unforgettable Rally Exposé at the Beattyville Town Square. 🚗💨

Spectators from across the country gathered downtown to welcome the rally cars as they rolled in after a thrilling day on our challenging and scenic roads.

Representative Timmy Truett announced the winner of the fastest leg on White Ash Road — Connor Martell and co-driver Alex Gelsomino. They took home the special moonshine jug award provided by the Donnie & Teresa, Backwoods Moonshine Museum.

The racers Martell and Gelsomino had high praise for today’s rally course — ranking the quality of our roads at a 9 out of 10 on the national rally circuit! They loved the curves, the hills, the dips, the creek crossings, the scenery, and of course… a one-of-a-kind rally tunnel. 🌄🏆

Thank you to all who made this event possible!
