We've received dozens of questions about the new apartments being built behind Walmart in Beaver Dam, so we wanted to share the latest information.

Crystal Ridge Apartments is now accepting applications and reserving units. The first building is scheduled to open on June 15, with additional buildings opening each month through September. (We noticed they are running a promo first month free and $1000 Visa Gift Card with a signed 12 mo lease!)

🧶 Calling All Yarn Bombing Volunteers! 🧶 Join us this Saturday, June 6, starting at 8:00 AM as we transform downtown Beaver Dam with colorful yarn bombing displays in preparation for the Wisconsin Arts and Peony Festival!

Set-up is easy and fun. The yarn pieces (flowers, insects and birds) have already been attached to plastic snow fence material, so volunteers will simply help unroll the panels and secure them to the benches along South Spring Street and the fence at Stooge's Bar & Grill using zip ties.

We'll meet at the Beaver Dam Chamber & Visitor Center, where snacks and refreshments will be available for volunteers.

A quick update on this year's project: Unfortunately, we did not receive enough yarn squares to decorate the Caboose this year. But don't put away those crochet hooks and knitting needles! We encourage everyone to keep using their leftover yarn stash to create squares throughout the year. We'll continue collecting them with hopes of having enough to yarn bomb the Caboose next year.
