We had a great trip recently to Branson...if you were unable to join us, we missed you! Many fun things to do & great shows to see (and food to eat...can't forget the food). Started w/ Duttons & group favorite, Clay Cooper, and ended with a bang seeing the Gatlin Bros....a good time! 🥳🤩😍

Anyone out there interested in visiting Branson with us in Nov 2021 for L&L Travel's annual Christmas trip? Travel dates are Nov 19-23, 2021 (leaving Friday, returning Tuesday). Yes, it's close to Thanksgiving, but thought we stand a chance of encountering less people that week. --Fort Worth, TX - visit to the Bureau of Engraving & Printing with a stop at the Stockyards for a real live Longhorn Cattle Drive
--Waco, TX - home of the ever-popular "Fixer Upper" with Chip & Jo-Jo - we'll visit Magnolia Silos, Magnolia Bakery, and more, plus an interesting tour of the city. More than just Fixer-Upper happening there, ya know!
--Back to DFW to visit the new AT&T Cowboy Stadium (a city in itself, wow!), the Bush Presidential Library, and the beautiful Dallas Arboretum.

Here is a sampling of what ASTA characterizes as bizarre questions travelers have posed to travel agents:

Can I fish off of the cruise ship?
Do they speak English in Britain?
Can you make sure I don’t get a window seat on the plane because I just had my hair done?
I’d love a train trip to Africa…No, I mean I want a train trip from New York to Cape Town.
I want to take a cruise to Las Vegas.
Can we drive our rental car in Hawaii out of state? We want to go to Alaska. After all, they are the 49th and 50th states on the map… so there must be a bridge, right?
Can you ask the airline to block the seat next to me so I can stretch out?

As has been established elsewhere, Americans are woefully under-educated in matters of geography. And more generally, there’s plenty a knowledgeable travel agent could do to help make most trips more convenient, more comfortable, more cost-efficient, and more enjoyable.

As seen on the SmarterTravel.com website in an article describing 7 things you should always wear on a plane, here is item number 7:

Don't throw fashion totally out the window. When it comes to dressing for a flight, much of our advice focuses on function. But dressing with a bit of style—while keeping conscious of comfort, of course—could help you get a free upgrade. An anonymous source told Goop, "On a Virgin flight back to Heathrow, I spotted one of the staff's monitors that read, 'Look for well-dressed people to upgrade.' The staff then began looking around for well-dressed people to upgrade. I'm not saying this will happen every time, but if you are looking to get upgraded, it helps to look smart." Throw a flowy, fashion-forward dress on over your compression socks and flash the airline staff a smile.

Food for thought, huh? Who knew dressing with style may secretly help you get an upgrade? It's worth a shot, right? Bringing fashion back to travel in 2016, that's our goal :)
