Exciting news and it’s close to home!🎉🎉

Universal Kids Resort in Frisco opens July 1st…just in time for some summer fun. This 20 acre theme park is designed especially for children with 7 unique areas including SpongeBob SquarePants, the Minions, and Shrek. There’s also a 300 room hotel with a pool and other amenities. Tickets and packages are on sale now.

While in Frisco, you can also visit the Museum of the American Railroad, the National Soccer Hall of Fame, the National Video Game Museum, watch a Frisco Roughriders Baseball Game, and visit the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and Practice facility.

As I am thinking about travel plans and things to do, this idea popped up in my wonderings. What are your thoughts on this…

Travel Tip Tuesday

This one is more personal today. I’ve been helping plan a family’s first Alaska cruise with pre-teens. They are getting ready for an unforgettable adventure filled with glaciers, wildlife, and memories they will talk about for years!

An Alaska cruise is the perfect mix of relaxation for parents and nonstop discovery for curious pre-teens. A little preparation goes a long way in making the trip smooth and stress-free. Here are some tips we have passed back and forth.
✔️ Dress in layers — Alaska weather can change quickly
✔️ Pack binoculars for whale watching and glacier spotting
✔️ Download movies, games, and music before boarding
✔️ Bring journals so everyone in the family can document what they see and reflect on in their own words
✔️ Don’t skip the excursions — dog sledding, wildlife tours, and scenic railways are unforgettable experiences

Most importantly, unplug when you can and enjoy the quality family time together. Alaska has a way of bringing everyone closer.

Tonight is graduation for the school I work for. One of the best gifts you can give a graduate is the gift of travel! From cruises to theme parks to beach vacays to mountain getaways, the gift of travel will make memories for a lifetime.

Don’t just take pictures on your Disney vacation and capture the magic in motion!

When visiting Walt Disney World Resort, use your phone to record the little moments that make your trip unforgettable: castle reactions, ride excitement, character hugs, dance parties, and nighttime fireworks.

Pro Tip: Turn on “Live Photos” or shoot short video clips throughout the day instead of long recordings. At the end of your trip, you can easily create a fun highlight reel filled with memories you’ll actually want to watch again! Bonus tip: bring a portable charger so your phone is always ready for the next magical moment.

May is here, and I’m leaning into my word of the year - cultivate.

This month, I’m choosing to cultivate gratitude…intentionally, daily, and even in the smallest moments. Not just for the big, obvious blessings, but for the quiet, often overlooked ones. I plan to end my day with writing on a post-it note things I am grateful for and use that to start off the next day thankful and joyous.

Gratitude isn’t something that just shows up and we grow it. We tend to it. We make space for it.

So this May, I’m watering what matters.�More presence. More appreciation. More joy.
