Twins Adonis and Atlas stopped by on their 4th birthday to see their grandmother Dee Dee, who works here. It wasn’t easy getting them to sit still for a photo, but when Dee Dee speaks, they listen! 😊

From now through September 1st, active-duty military personnel, including National Guard and Reserve, and their families receive FREE admission to both of these historic landmarks. 🏛️✨

Our awesome coworker Michelle Crumpacker is celebrating a milestone birthday today! 🎉 When we were all together on Friday, we surprised her with some of her favorite things—including Chick-fil-A and peach cobbler from Liberty Station—plus gifts and fun decorations to mark the big day. 🥰

Michelle brings so much to her role here at the Welcome Center, and to the Bedford community as a whole. She is someone you always want on your team. Happy 50th, Michelle! Here’s to many more amazing years ahead! 🩷💫☀️🎸🌻🌏

We’re excited to welcome Lorenzo “Lee” Hall to the Bedford Area Welcome Center as our new Facilities Specialist!

Lee is a proud Bedford native and Liberty High School grad, and he served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1993 to 2006. He brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep sense of commitment to our community.

In his new role, Lee will help maintain our facilities, both indoors and out, and lend a hand with customer service too. We’re so glad to have him on the team!

🎉 Happy Birthday to our one-of-a-kind Dee Dee! 🎉

Dee Dee has been with the Bedford Area Welcome Center since day one, and we couldn't let her special day pass without showering her with love, gifts, and plenty of birthday wishes! 💐🎁

She keeps our place sparkling - especially the restrooms, which many visitors rave about (and stop in just to use). But Dee Dee does so much more than that. She's smart, funny, creative, loyal, and not afraid to speak her mind. She’s deeply devoted to her family and friends, loves Bedford with all her heart, and always goes the extra mile for our visitors. 💙

Dee Dee is the kind of person who jumps in wherever she's needed. Sometimes even recruiting her husband to help out (thanks, Patrick!). We’re so grateful for everything she brings to the Welcome Center and our community.

Rounding out our Top 3 Volunteers of 2024 in hours served is Lois Miller!
Lois has been a dedicated volunteer at the Welcome Center since 2015. Last year, she generously gave 179 hours of her time. She brings energy, knowledge, fun, and a sense of adventure to every shift — no surprise, since she’s an avid traveler herself!
When thanked for her service, Lois humbly said it doesn’t feel right to receive a gift for doing something she truly loves, but we think she absolutely deserves it!
We’re lucky to have Lois as part of our volunteer family. Thank you, Lois, for your passion and your presence! 💙
