So, we've been keeping a secret here at Ethel Mae's. We've been testing the waters to see if another Airbnb is feasible and what that would look like and how we could manage two. We've had long term stays by traveling medical personnel as well as weekenders and the feedback has been great.
Therfore, Angela and I are happy to announce Ethel Mae's sister cottage, Elaine's Place. It is available on the Airbnb platform and offers the same great amenities! Go check it out!

This week, 🏡 Ethel Mae's received a slight upgrade - new shower install by Eppers Carpentry, upgraded locks Hanshaw, deep cleaned Stacy Hanshaw Stevens, and Angela Thompson 💫We all met up, worked, cleaned, and readied the space for the next guest.❤️

We have converted the sun room at Ethel Mae's to a cozy room with a day bed. A perfect quiet place to enjoy some reading while doubling as additional sleeping accomodations.

Received a text from our current guests asking if we would mind if they put some hooks up for coats and coveralls in the garage. Since this is something we've been wanting to do, we say of course we don't mind! By all means, go to Bedford Building Supply and put what you need on our account. Then they send us a picture of what they've done!

Changes are taking place at Ethel Mae's Cottage! We are adding a side entrance to the garage for our hunting guests. Walston Concrete will be adding a cement pad to enhance the side entrance. We are also installing new windows in the sun room and will be adding extra sleeping arrangements. We will also be working to replace all windows throughout the house. We've replaced the old washer and dryer with a new set and installed a new hot water heater. We've also added a storm door with screen to the front door so guests are able to leave the main door open and enjoy more light in the living room.
Angela and I would like to thank all of our guests for choosing us and for taking such good card of Ethel Mae's! 🏡
