Too tired to post last night so here's our first two days. Landed in Anchorage at 7:00 pm local time (11:00 pm at home) got checked into our hotel, The Lakefront Anchorage, sat out by the lake and of course I had Alakan King crab legs for dinner.

This morning we boarded the Alaskan Railroad for our tri to Seward, the pictures fo not do do it justice! We were able to see Dall sheep, a black bear and moose (the moose was a big deal for me as a few years ago we drove all over Maine and never saw one!) Spent the rest of the day in exploring Seward.

Tomorrow we will be going on a boat tour of Kenai Fjords.

One week from today we’ll be heading north to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with an unforgettable Alaskan adventure aboard the Alaskan Railroad.

We’ll watch towering mountains go by and view wildlife all from the comfort of a glass domed rail car leaving Anchorage with our first stop in Seward for a sightseeing cruise through Kenai Fjords National Park, next we will explore the town of Talkeetna and then on to Denali National Park and a tundra wilderness tour before heading back to Anchorage.

I can’t wait to share the beautiful scenery and experiences with all of you! What’s the first thing you’d do if you landed in Alaska??
